Assign team leads & permissions

The three permission levels and what each one can do.

Vibeshift has three roles inside a company: Employee, Manager, and Admin.

What each role can do

Employee
Default for everyone. Can answer surveys, log check-ins, read the mobile app, see their own history. Cannot see dashboards.
Manager
Dashboards scoped to one or more departments. Can see aggregated team metrics for those departments only. Cannot invite or remove employees, cannot change billing, cannot see other departments.
Admin
Full workspace access: invite, remove, configure surveys, manage billing, connect integrations, change company settings. There must always be at least one Admin.

Changing a role

  1. 1Dashboard → Employees → click the teammate's row.
  2. 2Change the Role dropdown.
  3. 3If promoting to Manager, pick the department(s) they're responsible for.

Heads up

Demoting yourself from Admin without another Admin in place is blocked. Always nominate a replacement before stepping down.
