Vibeshift has three roles inside a company: Employee, Manager, and Admin.
What each role can do
- Employee
- Default for everyone. Can answer surveys, log check-ins, read the mobile app, see their own history. Cannot see dashboards.
- Manager
- Dashboards scoped to one or more departments. Can see aggregated team metrics for those departments only. Cannot invite or remove employees, cannot change billing, cannot see other departments.
- Admin
- Full workspace access: invite, remove, configure surveys, manage billing, connect integrations, change company settings. There must always be at least one Admin.
Changing a role
- 1Dashboard → Employees → click the teammate's row.
- 2Change the Role dropdown.
- 3If promoting to Manager, pick the department(s) they're responsible for.
Heads up
Demoting yourself from Admin without another Admin in place is blocked. Always nominate a replacement before stepping down.
