Getting started

Publish your first pulse survey

Pick a template, choose who receives it, and schedule the send.

Pulse surveys are the core loop of Vibeshift. They're short — usually 3 to 5 questions — and designed to be answered in under a minute on mobile or in Slack.

Pick a template or start blank

From Dashboard → Surveys → New, you can pick a template or start from scratch. Templates are editable — treat them as sensible defaults, not locked recipes.

  • Weekly mood — 1 question, Likert scale 1–5, great for a baseline.
  • Manager effectiveness — 4 questions, quarterly.
  • Workload & burnout — 5 questions, monthly.
  • eNPS — 1 score + 1 open-text, quarterly.
  • Post-change pulse — 3 questions, one-off, great after reorgs or launches.

Audience

By default a survey goes to every active employee. You can narrow the audience by department or by tenure (e.g. only people who joined in the last 90 days). Audiences under 5 people are blocked to preserve anonymity — the dashboard requires at least 5 responses before showing aggregated numbers.

Schedule

  1. 1

    Send now

Best for quick one-offs. Invitations go out within a minute.

  2. 2

    Send at a specific time

Pick a date and time in your workspace's timezone. We respect Slack 'do not disturb' windows — if a teammate has DND on, the prompt waits until it clears.

  3. 3

    Recurring

Weekly, biweekly, or monthly. The same survey re-opens on the chosen cadence, and comparable periods line up automatically in the dashboard.

Channels

A survey can be delivered by mobile push, email, Slack DM, or any combination. If Slack is connected, answering in Slack is the fastest path — teammates can tap a Block Kit button without leaving the app.

Start simple: one recurring weekly mood check. You'll get a trend line by the third week, which is when Vibeshift starts to feel useful.
