Billing and plan changes

Seat management, the 2-per-month removal cap, and the 14-day cancellation grace.

Plan tiers

There are three tiers — Free, Professional, and Business. Pricing is per seat per month, with monthly or annual billing. See the /#pricing section on the landing page for current numbers.

Adding seats

Seats are added automatically when an invited teammate accepts. The plan tolerates short over-provisioning: if three invites come in at once and push you 2 seats over, Stripe adds the prorated difference to the next invoice. There's no hard stop until you exceed your seat_limit by more than 10%.

Removing seats

You can remove up to 2 seats per calendar month without contacting support. This cap exists to prevent accidental mass-offboarding during billing disputes. The UI surfaces the remaining 'safe' removals on the billing page.

Beyond the cap

If you need to remove more than 2 seats in a month — e.g. post-layoff — email info@bearacle.com. We'll lift the cap within one business day after a quick ownership confirmation.

Cancellation and grace

Cancel from Settings → Billing → Cancel plan. The subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period, then enters a 14-day grace. During grace the dashboard still works read-only; surveys pause; data is preserved. After grace, the workspace downgrades to Free.

Downgrading to Free is a better pause than deleting — your data stays, future upgrades pick up where you left off, and the grace period means there's no cliff.
